My son was a fairly early teether. He sprouted his first tooth just two days after he turned six months old and from then on, it seemed like he would have a new chomper pop up every week. It's been ten months since his one-year molars popped through but as his second birthday draws near, I know the second-year molars are on their way. Normally, this would spell disaster. But after seeing how each bead is individually double-knotted on the strand, I felt totally secure having my son wear it. The string is also designed to stretch with pressure and will break if necessary so there is virtually no risk of strangulation. Very comforting, indeed!

The 14" size fits Nate perfectly. It lays close enough to his neck that it is comfortable yet he can't get the beads into his mouth. The screw clasp is hidden beautifully under the beads. I love that it is very easy to manipulate, even when it's on my busy toddler. He looks very "handsome surfer dude" in it. Didn't you know?! Real men wear Baltic Amber teething necklaces.




I love that we have this homeopathic option to soothe common discomforts such as teething or tummy troubles. It is so much more favorable than pumping Motrin down his throat, especially after the whole McNeill recall. I think I want to get a Baltic Amber anklet in Two Colors - Light for myself and a Hazelwood and Hematite necklace for my husband, who battles GERD.
