CSN Stores Review: Mutsy Grow-Up Booster Seat

Remember I told you I had an exciting product review coming soon from CSN Stores? Well, our item arrived (very quickly might I add!) and we've had a few weeks to test it out so I'm finally ready to share my new find with all of you!

Nate is rapidly approaching two and in all his big-boy mentality, has decided he no longer wishes to sit in his highchair like a baby. He wants to join Mommy and Daddy at the big table. Unfortunately, he's still a shorty so eating at the grown-up's table is a bit tricky and requires a bit of a boost. In the search for the perfect toddler booster seat, I discovered Mutsy.

Mutsy, a Netherlands-based company, began in 1937 and got its start manufacturing traditional European prams. Over the years they have evolved to meet the needs of today's modern, mobile parent with a distinctive, flexible baby transport system. They have also expanded their product line to include highchairs, booster seats and other innovative baby accessories.

The Mutsy Grow-Up Booster seat immediately caught my attention, with its fresh, clean design. Its clever 5-point harness ensures your child will be fastened safely. With bright, modern colors like Raspberry and Apple, the Grow-Up is suitable for children up to 4 years of age. How gorgeous is this?



From the moment I saw it, I knew I had to have it. And so, thanks to CSN Stores, I was able to review the Mutsy Grow-Up booster seat in Mandarin.

The booster seat was even prettier in person than it was online. Pictures just can't capture how cute this is. The mandarin color is vibrant but still classy. It doesn't scream BABY. I'm definitely not embarrassed to display this at our kitchen or dining room tables. The seat reducer is soft and foamy like a Bumbo seat, making it comfortable to sit in and easy to wipe clean. It also detaches from the base so you don't have to fight to get bits of food out of the nooks and crannies. The Grow-Up appears to be very durable and I have no doubt it will hold up over years and possibly multiple children. For the young ones, I love the unique 5-point harness feature, which is difficult to come by in boosters. With Nate, we typically only use the belt strap but it still feels extremely secure. There is no way my wiggleworm is going to get out of it without adult assistance. While there are a lot of straps to sort through, it took me less than five minutes to figure it out and get it in place. Easy peasy! Weighing in at 3.7 lbs., the Grow-Up is lightweight and portable. I just wish it came with a carrying case so it would be convenient to travel with.

Nate is so much happier in his "big boy seat". The height is just right so he can eat at the table comfortably with Mommy and Daddy. My little monkey even climbs up the chair to get into his seat himself! We use our Grow-Up not only during mealtime but also for arts and crafts. Getting play dough or crayon out of this seat is a breeze.



The only potential disadvantage to the Mutsy Grow-Up is the price tag. It is almost double the cost of other booster seats on the market. But considering its safe, quality construction and the fact that it can be used from about 9 months until age 4 or beyond, I'd say you would definitely get your money's worth.
