Lands' End FeelGood Campaign
Lands' End is known for their comfortable, high-quality, casual clothing for women, men and children. But they have a new campaign starting this season that is really something special.
For every sweater purchased from their FeelGood clothing and accessory line, Lands' End will donate signature FeelGood yarn to One Heart Foundation's Warming Families, a nationwide knitting charity. They hope to donate thousands of pounds of yarn to the charity, where volunteers can knit up to 25,000 hats and other winter items to warm the homeless.
If you're a knitter, you can download two hat patterns, print out their accompanying tags and send the finished product(s) to a participating volunteer group in your area.
Even if you're not an expert, you can tap into your crafty side and learn how to stitch a knitted cap by watching the following video demonstration by Vickie Howell, best-selling craft author and host of the DIY network's Knitty Gritty:
Not crafty? That's okay! You can help spread the word about the campaign. For every blog post about the FeelGood initiative from now until September 16th, Lands' End will donate a cone of yarn to volunteer knitters at Warming Families. One cone of yarn can produce up to 28 hats for homeless individuals nationwide. Just email your blog post to TwitterParty@landsend.com and be entered for a chance to win the entire FeelGood collection!
And what better way to celebrate all these good deeds than with a Twitter party! Lands' End and Vickie Howell will be hosting a Twitter party to kick off the campaign. There will be more than 20 awesome prizes including a FeelGood sweater, Vickie Howell books, Lands' End gift cards and FeelGood yarn. Here are the details:
