New Giveaway Entry Rules!

I hate to start the New Year with a mean mama face but it looks like I'm going to have to modify my blog entry requirements. Lately, I've had to chase down a fair share of winners who did not leave me an email address or make it visible in their profile. This proves to be time-consuming for me, not to mention unfair to those who did happen to leave behind all of their necessary info. So, beginning with the very next giveaway, I will have to disqualify any winners that do not leave me with a valid email address - either in their comments or by setting it to visible in their Blogger profile. I'm sorry to be a stickler, as I'm a pretty easygoing person by nature and want to give everyone a break, but it is just becoming a problem that I want to nip in the bud before it gets out of control.

As the giveaways conclude, I will continue to post the winners on my blog so you can easily check back to see who won. This can also serve as a sort-of "double-check" in case you were the winner but did not receive an email notification from me. I know things can happen (I could misspell your address, get sent to spam, etc.) so I think this is the best way to prevent miscommunication. I give everyone 48 hours to respond, and in many cases, I actually give slightly more than that. Once a winner is confirmed, meaning I have received their reply and have all the information I need to pass onto the company, I display their name on the Winner's page. Secondly, I want to clarify that each entry into a contest should be its own separate comment. For example, if you perform the mandatory entry, follow my blog and tweet the giveaway on Twitter, you should comment three times for your three entries. I know it's more work for you this way but it really makes it easier on me when I draw a winner, as I have the comments numbered automatically. If you leave one comment containing all of your entries, that will only count for one entry. I don't want anyone to miss out!

As this blog continues to grow, I'm sure I'll have to adapt further with new policies and such. But it's all so I can improve and continue to bring some great finds and products your way! Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

Winners! (And a Note about Deadlines)

Before I announce the lucky winners of the Infectiguard giveaway, I just wanted to take a moment to clarify my contest entry deadlines. At the end of each giveaway post, in the fine print, you'll see that I make note of the date and time that a particular contest ends. This is almost always 11:59pm EST. For several contests recently, I've received entries after this deadline. If it were just a few minutes, I would be more inclined to let it slide since maybe the network was slow or someone was trying to tweet at the last minute and got the Fail Whale. Things happen, I understand that. But I've caught some entries many hours later after the noted deadline that I simply cannot qualify.

While I really, really want to include everyone who wants to participate, I have to be fair to those who entered within the specified timeframe. The rules are there for a reason. So, sadly, I've had to delete the "fashionably late" entrants. I am so appreciative of everyone who visits this blog and takes the time to write comments and I do not wish to alienate anyone. But I feel this is the only way to keep my contests fair and fun for all. If you have any suggestions on how to make the process easier or more convenient, definitely shoot me an email or leave me a comment. For example, would you prefer a noon deadline to a midnight one? Less/more bonus entry options? I welcome and will consider all constructive criticism and feedback.

Giveaway Rules & Privacy Policy

1.) Each giveaway will have its own mandatory entry requirements. Anyone who does not follow the mandatory entry or entries will not be eligible to win. Bonus entries are offered to increase your chances of winning. You can take advantage of none, some or all of the bonus entry methods.

2.) All bloggers and non-bloggers must provide an email address OR have their address visible on their profile. If I am unable to contact you, I am unable to award you a prize. I will not chase you down!

3.) I respect the privacy of my followers and will use your email ONLY (a) to respond to your comment(s), (b) if you subscribe or opt-in to receive updates via reader or email, or (c) to communicate with you regarding a giveaway win. I will never EVER sell your email address to a third party. To limit the risk of spam, you can format your email as:

4.) Entries received after the posted contest deadline will not be eligible to win. No exceptions.

5.) All winners are chosen via random number generator (www.random.org). I post winners at least once a week. All winners have 48 hours to respond to my congratulatory email. After 48 hours, the prize will be forfeited and another random winner will be chosen.

6.) All winners must be willing to provide me with their shipping information and phone number, which will be forwarded to the sponsor of the giveaway. All prizes are shipped directly from the sponsor. (Note: P.O. Boxes may not be accepted, in which case I will need your physical address). Please allow up to three weeks for delivery of your prize. If after three weeks, you still have not received your item, please contact me and I will follow-up on your behalf.
