Review and Giveaway: Mayfair Lane CLOSED

One of my many New Year's resolutions is to get more organized. Especially in my kitchen. I can't tell you how many times my husband or I make a run to the grocery store and forget to pick up essentials because we didn't make a list. Oops! I needed some supplies to make menu planning and shopping easier but I didn't want to take up valuable countertop real estate with a bunch of notepads, pens and pencils. Magnetic notepads were useless, as we have stainless steel appliances that repel them. In my search for the perfect solution, I came across Mayfair Lane.

Mayfair Lane is the brainchild of former 3M employee, Sue Russell. Launched in Spring 2008, Mayfair Lane puts the fun in functional with stylish notepads, list pads, whiteboards, clips, journals, photo frames and more. Sue realized that most accessories for the refrigerator were backed with magnetic strips, which may work for most families but not for those who opt for stainless steel. In turn, she developed her patent-pending Happeez line of products to fill the gap. These innovative items stick to stainless steel and glass, are non-toxic and odor-free, and leave no residue behind. You can grip and re-grip again and again by simply wiping with water or vinegar-based glass cleaner. Basically no maintenance!

Mayfair Lane was kind enough to send me a Happeez list pad and clipper trio to review. I chose the Fruity theme to add some brightness to the room and complement the smell of my citrus-y, plant-based cleaners.



I could tell I was going to love my products right off the bat. The designs were even cuter and more vibrant in person. I couldn't wait to put them to use. And as I hoped, they added a hint of sophisticated color to our new kitchen.



Application was super easy. Just peel off the white backing and stick. That's it! If you need to reposition, just pull off gently and try, try again. And look, Ma, no tacky residue!



The Clipper Trio is thick and durable. I even put one to the test by hanging my 115-page Pottery Barn catalog. Unlike magnets, there was no slipping whatsoever and it stayed snug. I was sold! For those of you who are anal about keeping things straight and even, these Happeez clips are just the trick. You could hang children's artwork, notes, pictures, bills to be paid/sent, cards, letters, invitations - just about anything!



The list pad is very slim, perfect for shopping or honey-do lists. The pages are smooth, easy to write on and tear off. It's almost too pretty to write on! Almost. I think it would be a great idea to have a matching pen and pen holder to hang next to my pad so I wouldn't have to dig around for one. Nonetheless, grocery shopping is much easier in my household thanks to this little list pad.



Bottom line: I would highly recommend Mayfair Lane for your organizational needs. I love that there is finally something out there that is not only practical for stainless steel, mirrors, plastic and vinyl, but can add a sense of style at an affordable price. I'm already eyeing some of their other products, like the Kitchen Utensils clipper trio (can't have enough of those clips!) and Hip Square - Noir photo frame.
