Music Week Replay Giveaway #1: Rockabye Baby CLOSED

The Music Week Replay has officially begun and we're off with a bang! Or should I say tap...

Remember my review of Rockabye Baby: Lullaby Renditions of Queen? No? Well, you should definitely go back and read it when you have time but let me fill you in with a short recap.

When you hear the word "lullaby", you probably think slow, calm and soothing. Not exactly three characteristics that come to mind when you think of rock music. Yet the geniuses behind Rockabye Baby have transformed rock classics from the likes of The Rolling Stones, Nirvana and many many others into peaceful instrumental lullabies! No longer do you have to endure the silly or mundane until your little one gives up the night fight and dozes off. You can now hum along to the recognizable tunes you love and share great music with your future rock star. How fun would it be to sing Metallica's "Enter Sandman" to your baby to actually drift them "off to never never land"? These albums are something adults and kids alike can enjoy. Confession: my husband and I listen to our Queen CD even when our son is already asleep.

The most recent addition to the Rockabye Baby family is Aerosmith, born on September 15, 2009 and weighing in at 12 songs including "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing", "Sweet Emotion" and the lullaby-appropriate "Dream On". There are even liner notes written by Steven Tyler himself!

While I haven't yet reviewed this album, I have listened to the samples on their website and it's amazing! It would be a great holiday gift for new parents or parents-to-be. I'm even thinking of getting it for Christmas as a stocking stuffer to add to our collection.
